Multiple reports of fake bike dealers operating on Facebook Marketplace in Karachi. They ask for token money and disappear. Do NOT pay any amount before physically inspecting the bike and verifying ownership documents.
Sellers reset odometers on high-mileage bikes to show false low readings. Signs: fresh paint on dashboard cluster, mismatched wear on pedals vs mileage, unusually cheap price for the year.
Fake profiles posting bikes at below-market prices. They request a "token" payment of 5-20K to "hold" the bike, then vanish. Never pay without seeing the bike AND documents in person.
Stolen bikes with forged registration papers are a major problem. Always verify the engine number and chassis number physically โ fake paper scams are sophisticated enough to fool most buyers.
Counterfeit engine oil, fake brake pads, and replica parts are sold as genuine. Buy from authorized dealers or verified shops only. Cheap parts = expensive repairs later.
Listings claiming "urgent sale" at 30-40% below market. The bike is either stolen, heavily damaged, or doesn't exist at all. If the price seems too good, it is.
Fake "Careem/Foodpanda" sign-up agents charging Rs. 2-5K registration fees. These platforms NEVER charge registration. Any agent asking for money upfront is a scam.
Report the scam to us and we'll investigate and publish an alert to protect the rest of the community. Your identity is kept private.
